Time

At night
Deep in thought
I feel
Your gentle touch
A subtle reminder
More time has passed
Than lays before me
Cherish those little moments
A little deeper
The rush to reach
Soul soothing goals
Be tempered
Fully enjoy
Each that come to pass
Create full memories
To hold
As the clock ticks

  3. Indeed more time has passed than that lies ahead. When one realizes this, it is indeed a wake-up call. We MUST fully appreciate each day.

The competition with aging will create an urgency that is not easy to appease!

  6. Oh that ticking clock. Loved the ethereal quality with which you imbued this wise piece ... reinforcing the message, I thought, as it floats from the page.

  7. I am not sure what it means but one clock in the Lounge and one of my watches have stopped and won't work any more; perhaps that's a sign I am running out of time!

  8. The present moment is all we have. Yes, let us enjoy, make them count. Your lovely poem expresses this well.

  9. Yes, the clock is ticking for me too - hopefully the batteries won't run out for some while.
I do live life for the pleasure of each day, live it to the full. Love life.
(Your poem is very wise BTW.)
